• 1000 PRESSURE MEMBRANE EXTRACTOR 15 BAR
The 1000 Pressure Membrane Extractor incorporates disposable cellulose membranes in the extraction of water from soil samples over a pressure range of 0 to 15 bars. A compression diaphragm in the lid holds the samples in firm contact with the membrane, ensuring proper hydraulic contact needed for the extraction process. The Pressure Membrane Extractor includes the following components: top and bottom plates, 5/8" (1.6 cm) high by 11" (28 cm) inside diameter cylinder and clamping bolts, cylinder seal O-rings, screen drain plate, compressing diaphragm, and eccentric clamping screw assembly. Connecting hoses (2 required), cut cellulose membrane discs, PM Hinge, and torque wrench with socket are ordered separately. Soil sample retaining rings and cylinders of various heights are available separately.
• 1020 PRESSURE MEMBRANE EXTRACTOR, 100 BARS
The 1020, 100 Bar Pressure Membrane Extractor, is used to analyze the water-holding characteristics of soil samples at extremely high pressures. The Pressure Membrane Extractor uses a cellulose membrane supported on a screen drain plate. The cylinder is 2" (5 cm) high, with an inside diameter of 10" (25 cm). The 1020 consists of top and bottom plates, cylinder, all connecting bolts and seals, screen drain plate, and a side exhaust valve. You will need the 0750G4 Manifold (sold separately) to run the 1020 Extractor. Other items you will need are cellulose membranes (1041D12), soil sample retaining rings (1093F1), and an electrical lead through (1066) are available separately.
• LAB1250 COMPLETE HYSTERESIS LAB SETUP
Model LAB1250V1 is used for obtaining wetting and drying moisture retention curves. When the extractor is used in conjunction with the Hysteresis Attachment, the volume of water removed from the sample can be accurately measured and retained at each increasing pressure step. When pressure values are subsequently reduced, the volume of water that returned to the soil can then be accurately measured. It is designed so that the outflow section of the instrument is dimensionally stable. This Lab Setup supports 110-220 VAC input power.
• The 1500F2, 15 Bar Pressure Plate Extractor
The 1500F2, 15 Bar Pressure Plate Extractor,is used to analyze the water-holding characteristics of soil samples throughout the pressure range of interest in most agricultural applications. The pressure vessel is 4" (10 cm) deep and has an inside diameter of 12" (30 cm). Up to 4 ceramic plates can be accommodated at one time, allowing approximately 36 2-1/4" samples to be analyzed simultaneously. The Pressure Plate Extractor consists of a pressure vessel and lid, clamping bolts, O-ring seals, and outflow tube assemblies.
• 1600F1, 5 BAR PRESSURE PLATE EXTRACTOR
The 1600F1, 5 Bar Pressure Plate Extractor: Allows analysis of the water-holding characteristics of soil samples in the 0 to 5 bar pressure range. The pressure vessel is 9" (22 cm) deep and has an inside diameter of 12" (30 cm). Up to 4 5-Bar ceramic plates can be used, allowing 48 each 2-1/4" (5.7 cm) diameter samples to be analyzed simultaneously. Extractor includes: pressure vessel and lid, clamping bolts, O-ring seals, and outflow tube assemblies. Pressure plates are sold separately.
• 2725ARL JET FILL TENSIOMETERS
Jet Fill Tensiometer, comes with 1/2 bar gauge. Features the Jet Fill reservoir for push-button convenience and minimization of soil disturbance when servicing is required. Unique modular construction allows for easy replacement of the porous ceramic cup and dial gauge and adaptation of extensions for flexibility and variety in use. The Tensiometer comes in defined t customized lengths. Series 0240 Insertion Tools can be used to core a hole to accept these units
• 3000 AND 3005 SERIES PLANT WATER STATUS CONSOLES
Tension in plant xylem can be measured using a plant water status console device. The petiole of a leaf or stem is placed in a rubber grommet so the leaves are inside the pressure chamber and the stem is outside at atmospheric pressure. By pressurizing the chamber and watching the point where the sap oozes out of the stem at atmospheric pressure the 2 forces are in balance.

• WATER SAMPLING
Suction Cup Lysimeter (Soil-Water Sampler), available for different depths and remote (500 ft) sampler, Food-Grade PVC pipe body, ceramic cup epoxy bonded to PVC Body, porous ceramic cup; Ceramic cup is 2 bar (200 kPa), 0.5 bar (50 kPa) and 1 bar (100 kPa) cups are also available. Nylon compression fittings are threaded into the top cap and are used to attach lengths of Polyethylene tubing to a remote sampling station. A pressure-vacuum hand pump (manual Model 2006G2 or automated model 2008F1) is used for evacuating the sampler and recovering the sample. Sampler Centralizer Kit (1902K3) and Sampler Well Head Cap (1919T1) recommended. ASTM: D4696-92(2000).
• 3115 SAPS UNITS
The Portable Plant Water Status Console, Model 3115P80G4VNI, is supplied in water and dust proof Pelican instrument case is configured as a 80 bar (8.0 Mpa) platform with the G4 specimen holder (for petioles and stems to 1/2" (125 mm), WITHOUT the compressed gas bottle. The 3115 uses a quick-connect/disconnect, PTFE hose with stainless steel braids, and an external Pressure Regulator, preset at the factory for the maximum operating pressure of 80 bar (8.0 MPa).
• TEMPE CELL SL
The 1400 Tempe Pressure Cell is used to determine the water-holding characteristics of a soil sample (up to 1 bar). The cell accepts an undisturbed soil sample contained in a 2-1/4" (5.7 cm) diameter x 3 cm tall cylinder, such as that taken with The 0200 Soil Core Sampler. Cell comes with a 1 Bar Ceramic Plate.
